Good news for every Nokia fan, The giant is back!!!!

After the downfall of Nokia in 2013, people all around the world lost hope of seeing Nokia back into the market again. But with the resurrection of Nokia by none other than Finnish company HMD Global which is founded by the ex – Nokia employees, brings the long-time dreams of Nokia fans into a reality. Behold, the early days of 2017 presents Nokia 6 a mid-range smartphone, which will face difficulties against that of wide varieties of Chinese phones already in the market. Presently this handset is available in china only, but in near future we can see Nokia hitting the shelfs of other major countries as well.

Coming back to Nokia 6, let’s see what Nokia 6 has to offer.

  1. Design

Nokia always know for its durability, whether it’s Nokia 3310 or Nokia E6, it always had

meet the expectations of people. Indeed HMD has to maintain this reputation of the company not only with the Nokia 6 but also with the future devices about to be unveil.

Talking about Nokia 6,  it towers at 6.06 inches with 2.98 inches across and thickness at 0.33 inches. Made from glass and aluminium, the device employs the de facto standard design presently. the screen is slightly curved towards the frame edge, creating ever-so-slight curve. the screen-to-body ratio of the device is 71.59%, which is normal. The fingerprint is embedded into the home button at front.

2. Display

As the device is a mid-range product it comes with full HD display equipped with Gorilla Glass 3, the 5.5 inch panel is sharp with a pixel density of 401 ppi not have a match up with the leading devices in terms of screen sharpness, but overall the image quality is superb. Instead of An AMOLED screen display, the device equipped with an IPS LCD screen.

3. Processor

One of the aspect which disappointed many fans is that of the processor. we expected is to be a Nokia smartphone with Android device to be a beast out on the rampage but it turns out to be more humble with the company preferred a tamed start.

In technical terms the device comes with a Snapdragon 430 64-bit octal core processor, built on a 28nm manufacturing process. Nokia 6 is a direct competitor to the Lenovo K6, Asus Zenfone 3 Laser and Xiaomi Red 3s which are sharing the same chipset.

4. Memory

The Nokia 6 is powered by 4GB of RAM, which is one of the major attraction for the upper mid-range devices. Also the device offers a 64GB of onboard storage which can be extend till 128GB via the SD Card. Thats pretty good No?

5. Battery

The device is backed up with 3,000 mAH battery, which makes a pretty good combination with the snapdragon 430.

6. Camera

Nokia 6 comes up with a 16MP shooter with phase detection auto-focus with an f/2.0 aperture and 1.0um sensors’s  pixel in size. The picture quality is pretty decent although we can see lack in performance under low light.

For selfie lovers a 8MP shooter is provided which also has f/2.0 aperture, although the sensor’s pixel are larger clocking in at 1.12um with a field view of 84 degrees which is pretty wide for allowing multiple people to fit inside the frame maybe we can get our hopes up for having a good and detailed selfie pictures in low light scenarios as well.

7. Price

Nokia 6 launched with a price tag of CNY 1,699 in China & it’s expected to available in India for Rs 17,000 (Approx).

     Future Expectations

With the Nokia’s resurrections from the hands of HMD Global, the company still playing “Safe”. But again with the Nokia 6, the company is sending a clear and a promising message, to maintains the same quality and essential features that users and consumers still love. Even after thrown out from the mobile market, this can be an exceptional first step made by company towards the right path to regain it’s grip in the market.
